Nursing faculty and students (left to right) Dr. Teresa Darnall, Anna Reid and Madi Brown were joined by local residents Miriam Stamey and Jonathan Pendley.
Audience members received information about how to make informed decisions regarding opioid use and misuse. The panel presentation was followed by a showing of 'Beautiful Boy', a movie depicting a father and son torn apart by drug abuse. The evening event was co-hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Banner Elk and Lees-McRae Student Nurses Association with funding provided by the High Country Charitable Foundation."
